Call for abstracts - 2014 Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference

The 2014 Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference has issued a call for abstracts for presentations and posters. The deadline for submission has been extended to December 23rd. Presenters can contribute to a wide range of special and general sessions, including one co-hosted by EoPS and the Puget Sound Institute. That session is titled "Emerging tools for synthesizing and communicating ecosystem information" and will look at strategies for improving information flow among scientists, stakeholders and policymakers in the Salish Sea region. The conference will be held April 30 - May 2, 2014 at the Seattle Convention Center.

Abstracts are invited for:

Emerging tools for synthesizing and communicating ecosystem information 

Strategies for improving information flow among scientists, stakeholders and policymakers using new technologies such as data visualization, crowd sourcing and interactive conceptual models; how technology helps (or hinders) the effectiveness of communication among scientists; and the potential impacts of “open access” publishing.
